Thankfully, we wound up with more April Showers than snow here today, and avoided using yet another snowday. Since our Spring Break has already been shortened by one make-up snow day, most of the teachers were praying for rain. It appears that we may be able to salvage the remaining four days of our Spring Break.
In honor of the rainy day we've had here today, I am posting a new making words set. My students thoroughly enjoy these making words activities. I print the letters on cardstock, cut out, and then place in a pocket chart for students to manipulate. I have a two sided recording sheet--mostly because I hate to waste a piece of paper by only printing on one side; (Yes, the teachers have had to buy their own copy paper at our school for the past two months now!) but also because I like to be able to extend the activity to include writing.
